Warranty Officer BIA Zambia Ltd

BIA Group is active in the sales, rentals and after-sales services of equipment intended for public works, mines, quarries and transport. The Group operates in Europe (Belgium, Holland and Luxembourg) and in more than 20 African countries and employs more than 1.300 people, including more than 850 engineers and technicians.

What will be your responsibilities?

• Plan all necessary parts, equipment, services and documentation to perform the maintenance work.
• Ensure ALL warranty SOs, PO’s and claim numbers are opened, shared and closed off in the system.
• Warranty SO submission within 24 hrs. of receipt
• Claims Action logs to be OTIF and distributed weekly.
• TSI are logged within 24 hours of receipt to Bia TSI email.
• Creation of purchase requisitions for planned work.
• Creation of stock reservations for planned work.
• Follow up with supply chain on parts returns.

• Response times
• Recovery rates of warranty
• Parts issuance follow up rates

Competences

• SAP knowledge preferred
• OEM equipment knowledge preferred
• Strong levels of English, both verbal and written
• Windows PC proficient

Who are we looking for?

• Bachelor or Masters in Mechanical Engineering
• Technical knowledge on Heavy Equipment Repair or similar activity
• IT software knowledge (pack office + diagnostic and fleet management tools)
• Good knowledge of SAP or any related software
