Manager Marketing and Communications NHIMA

Job Purpose
This role will report directly to the Director General. The job holder will be responsible for driving the development and implementation of marketing, communications, and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)strategies for the Authority. It will be responsible for the alignment of all communication efforts with the Authority’s brand and strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Brand Visibility:

Develop and implement a comprehensive Brand Visibility promotion strategy that supports the objectives of the Authority.
Be the Custodian of the NHIMA brand Management across all functions.
Plan and oversee the development of campaigns, contents and initiatives to increase brand awareness and brand affinity in line with the identified key thematic areas.

Marketing:

Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy that supports the Authority’s business objectives;
Manage and oversee all corporate events including exhibitions, national and international commemorations, ceremonies, Trade fairs, Shows and all the Authority’s public and private events.
Explore new means, methods and platforms to maximize marketing communication;
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent messaging and branding across all channels;
Build cross-functional relationships with key stakeholders;
Analyse and report on marketing initiatives to measure success and identify areas for improvement;
Ensure cross-functional adherence to the brand guidelines;
Communication:

Develop and implement a comprehensive communication strategy that supports the company’s business objectives;
Oversee the development of internal and external communication materials such as speeches, press releases, newsletters, brochures and internal communications;
Serve as a spokesperson for the Authority, responding to media inquiries and managing media relationships;
Manage the Authority’s online presence, including website content, social media channels, and email marketing campaigns;
Provide an effective means of collecting and disseminating customer queries and complaints;
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent messaging and branding across all channels;
Ensure that there is timely and comprehensive flow of information across the organization and all key stakeholders
Analyse and report on communication initiatives to measure success and identify areas for improvement
Build and manage relationships with key media outlets, journalists and other influencers to secure media coverage for the Authority
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR):

Develop and implement a comprehensive CSR strategy that aligns with the Authority’s vision, values and mission.
Manage the Authority’s CSR initiatives, including employee volunteer programs and corporate donation programs.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainability and social responsibility into all aspects of the Authority’s operations.
Analyse and report on CSR initiatives to measure success and identify areas for improvement.

Digital Marketing and Customer Relations:

Develop and implement a comprehensive digital marketing strategy that supports the company’s business objectives;
Manage the company’s digital marketing channels, including social media, email marketing, and website content;
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent messaging and branding across all digital channels;
Develop and implement a comprehensive digital customer relations strategy to ensure high-quality customer service and engagement;
Ensure that there is a consistent and effective brand presence across identified platforms; and
Regularly review and explore effective social media channels of distributions for future use.

Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications and Experience
Full Grade Twelve (12) School certificate with credits or better in 5 subjects which must include English and Mathematics;
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field;
Digital Marketing Certification or any related Certification – added advantage
7+ years of experience in marketing, communication, CSR, internal communications, and digital marketing

Competencies required for this Role
Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write for a variety of audiences and channels;
Experience in developing and managing budgets;
Ability to foster team work within the Unit and in the Authority;
Strong understanding of marketing and communication principles and experience in developing and executing marketing campaigns;
Experience in managing social media channels and digital marketing campaigns;
Experience in undertaking corporate social responsibility and sustainability activities;
Strong project management and organisational skills;
Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders; and
Experience managing and developing a team of marketing, communication, CSR, internal communication, and digital marketing.
