Junior Developer (Temp) x2
Job Summary
Reporting to the I.T Infrastructure Manager, the role will be responsible for the development of bespoke in-house systems and applications. It will also involve support and maintenance of already existing systems.
Main Duties/Responsibilities
- Develop intranet sites for the organization to be accessed by designated employees.
- Develop and assist in managing all aspects of software and coding.
- Attending company Develops meetings.
- Learn the code base for existing and future company apps.
- Report and work on bugs.
- Monitor and improve the performance of existing internal systems.
- Respond to requests from external dev teams.
- Test applications before they go to live environments.
- Perform any other duties as delegated by superiors.
- Basic-level knowledge of SQL queries and MySQL and SQL Server.
- Basic-level knowledge of PHP, JavaScript, and C#.
- Experience working with coding languages such as native HTML, JSON, jQuery, and Ajax,
- Experience in developing web applications using popular web frameworks such as Flutter, and Laravel.
- Knowledge of Object-oriented programming.
- Solid understanding of web design and development principles.
Qualifications - Grade 12 (or equivalent)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technologies, Software Engineering or Equivalent.
- 1 year experience in application development.
- Member of a relevant professional body– added advantage.
