General Description

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the overall responsibility for the Human Resource Officer is the implementation of the assigned Human Resources and related policies and procedures in order to ensure that team members are inspired to contribute towards the achievements of the organizations goals.

  • Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with University departments and cross-functional teams
  • Ability to operate the computer and assigned software
  • A proven record in working successfully with diverse populations
  • Excellent organizational and record keeping skills
  • Proven record of successful supervisory experience in a people –oriented environment
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • A faithful disciple of the Lord Jesus
  • Ability to provide vision and leadership
  • Demonstrated capability to interface and maintain effective relationships with all branch locations and employees in a team-oriented environment
  • Willingness to travel to other campuses and units of the University
  • Detail-oriented, efficient and strict when it comes to following NU policies

All applicants should submit a typed cover letter of not more than two pages that clearly states the position applied for; the academic and professional qualifications they possess; and the major achievements in their previous and/or current job. Furthermore, the Curriculum vitae should be current, not more than five pages long, clearly state the duration(s) and nature of their past and current work experience; and include at least four traceable referees.
