PURPOSE OF ROLE

Accounts assistants provide Administrative support to the Group accountant according to Spruce land’s procedures and policies.

RESPONSABILITIES

Working with general ledgers
Preparing statutory accounts.
Calculating and checking to make sure payments, amounts and records are correct.
Sorting out incoming and outgoing daily post and answering any queries.
DEBT collecting.
Reconciling finance accounts and direct debits.
Invoice processing
Processing expense requests
Cash book maintenance
Maintaining the company purchase and sales ledgers
Bank  reconciliation
Raising sales invoices
Liaising with third party providers, clients and suppliers
Basic administration

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCES REQUIRED

Incumbent must have:

  • Diploma/Advanced Certificate in Accounts

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 3 -years relevant experience in a similar role

  • Ability to work as part of a team and take direction accurately.
  • Analytical thinker and problem solver.
  • Competent IT skills, particularly proficiency with spreadsheet software.
  • High level of accuracy.
  • Extremely organized in a manner that is easily read by others.
  • Trustworthy and discreet when dealing with confidential information.
  • Administrative skills.
  • Must be Conversant with Accounting Packages

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENT

Proficiency in English is required. Knowledge of one of or several other languages spoken in Zambia would be an added advantage
