IITA is seeking to employ the services of fully qualified Zambian national to fill up the position of Information Technology (IT) Intern.
The Information Technology – Intern will perform a wide range of Information Technology support under the direct supervision of the Information Technology Officer:
- Assist Administrate and monitor both local area networks LAN and wide area networks WLAN
- Assist to set up user permissions and control access to both LAN and WLAN.
- Must have knowledge on Oracle Software, Photography and Telecommunications.
- Assist troubleshoot, diagnose problems, implements corrective action procedures within prescribed guidelines and /or escalates to other technical resources as appropriate.
- Assist to deliver where required inductions and basic training in the use of IT facilities and services provided by IT in Lusaka station.
- Assist customers troubleshoot issues they encounter with software and applications and provide actionable tips to resolve the problem.
- Assist in the maintenance and security of LAN and WLAN as well as all computer systems (both hardware and software).
- Write technical specifications for purchase of PCs and related products; recommend schedule and perform PC, hardware, and peripheral equipment improvements.
- Perform all other related duties that may be assigned from time to time by the supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum Diploma II in Computer Science or relevant course.
- Good skills with Microsoft Office & Oracle Software.
- Good trouble shooting skills and knowledge of hardware maintenance.
- Ability to work under pressure.
General information: The Internship for a period of six, months.
