Information Technology Operations Manager Airtel

Airtel Networks Zambia Plc seeks to recruit an Information Technology Operations Manager To manage and provide strategic and operational direction for the business IT support systems used by Airtel Zambia and to ensure that systems in scope are fit-for-purpose, aligned with business requirements, appropriately integrated, sized, supported and deliver the functional and performance required to achieve business goals.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES ARE:

1) Business Intelligence (BI)/Management Information Systems (MIS) Report Management

Ensure consistent flow, loading and processing of reporting files for accurate and timely business reporting.
Ensure that data integrity checks are done on all reports.

2) Billing and Revenue Assurance Management

Ensure adherence to Service Level Agreement (SLA) on delivery of Month-end reports.
Provide Revenue assurance on IT systems in close liaison with the RAFM team and ensure speedy closure of identified gaps to minimize revenue loss.
Coordinate IT support in resolution of billing related queries in collaboration with the business to ensure Airtel adheres to Regulatory Quality of Service (QoS) guidelines.
3) Business Systems Management

Formulate and enforce effective Standard Operational Procedures and practices that will ensure high service availability of all critical Business systems and applications.
Ensure that the Know Your Customer (KYC) system is set up and operating in accordance with the approved business rules to achieve efficiency and reliability.
4) Digital Applications Management

Ensure that all digital applications are monitored and operating effectively.
Ensure that the local team provide first level support in troubleshooting and bug fixes.
5) Partner Management

Key Account Management of corporates to ensure maximum customer satisfaction in order to reduce and ultimately avoid churn.
REQUIREMENTS

Educational Qualifications & Functional / Technical Skills:

University Degree in Computer Science or any other related disciplines.
Professional qualification in Project Management techniques.
Professional qualification in Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) and SIX Sigma with a focus on IT.
Relevant Experience:

5-7 years’ experience with a minimum of 3 years in a management role preferably within the Telecoms industry.
Experience in databases, analytics and system integration.
Experience in managing diverse and complex platforms and environments.
Experience managing technology partners.
Must be a member of The Information and Communications Technology Association of Zambia (ICTAZ)
COMPETENCIES REQUIRED IN THE POST

Demonstrated success in managing overlapping projects.
Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.
Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
Successful background with stakeholder/partner management.
