Marketing and Sales Manager Health Industry

A company specialized in medical scheme administration and employee wellness is looking to hire an experienced and result-driven Marketing and Sales Manager. As a Marketing and Sales Manager, he/she will be required to nurture and enrich all external perceptions of the company, grow the market share, and ensure retained competitiveness and innovation.

JOB PURPOSE

To expand the Company’s customer base, range of products and services, nurture and enrich all external perceptions of the company, grow the market share, and ensure retained competitiveness and innovation.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

1)     Analyzing market and business trends, identifying new markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status. Recommending changes to business development strategies to enhance the Company brand, products and services provision.

2)     Oversee creation, delivery and implementing marketing and sales business strategies and plans including digital marketing tools to help expand the company’s customer base and ensure a strong presence in the market.

3)     Developing and leading a marketing and sales team that will develop and execute new concepts, business models, channels and partners to position the Company as business leader and innovator, achieving growth and hitting sales targets.

4)     Designing and developing the Company brand, new products and services considering market trends and customer needs and desires.

5)     Ensuring the maintenance of positive public and media relations by effective communications and public relations campaigns to bolster the Company, its brands, products and services in a positive limelight.

6)     Continuous monitoring and evaluation of marketing and sales performance and preparing and presentation of sales, revenue and expenses reports and realistic forecasts to the management team and to demonstrate the company’s market share.

7)     Effective supervision and development of subordinate and support personnel.

8)     Providing management and administrative responsibilities for the Department and advisory support to other units and at the Company level.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Full Grade 12 School Certificate with at least 5 credits.
  • Minimum Degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field. A Master’s Degree is an added advantage.
  • 8 years of successful previous experience as a marketing and sales officer or manager, consistently meeting or exceeding targets
  • Committed to continuous professional development (CPD)
  • Member of the Zambia Institute of Marketing (ZIM)
  • Valid Driving Licence

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization
  • Proven ability to drive the marketing and sales process from plan to close
  • Strong business sense and industry expertise
  • Working with various forms of media, including print, broadcast and digital
  • Using social media effectively as a marketing tool
  • Proficiency with computer programs, such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint
