ROLE:  RETAIL SALES/STORE MANAGER

INDUSTRY: RETAIL

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILTIES:

1             SUPERVISION OF CASHIER

– Ensure banking is done every day

– Allocate statement entries

– Ensure cash collections are posted correctly

2             PRICING

– Ensure correct pricing is communicated to each customer

– Ensure correct pricing is communicated internally

– Ensure correct pricing is input in sage for each item

3             STATEMENTS & ACCOUNTS

– Ensure statements are periodically sent to customers

– Check age analysis for debtors standing daily

– Age analysis report for weekly management meeting

– Check balances in system with customer balances

– Corporate statements to be sent on time

4             ORDERS

– Contact customers for orders

– Place orders in system

– Ensure goods are in line for delivery/collection

– Make invoices accordingly

5             MARKETING

– Meet with marketing team to check market status

– Report to marketing manager for customer balances

– Distribute marketing material as required

6             INVENTORY

– Check stock levels

– Redorder monthly (forecast)

– Check deals as and when issued

7             MANAGEMENT ORDERS

– As directed
