Our mission is to make financing accessible and affordable across Africa and the mandate is to provide tailor made affordable loans with flexible repayments to enable customers meet urgent financial needs with ease. We believe credit should be easily accessible to people. Anyone should be able to borrow as long as they have the capacity and willingness to pay back.
Position: Credit Manager
Job Purpose: To design and manage a strong credit Department for Panda Africa.
Duties and responsibilities include:
- Build a strong credit system for Panda Africa
- Daily departmental workflow
- Ensure standard or work meets client expectations with minimum turnaround and in compliance with set credit policies and regulations
- Assess and approve credit lending procedures
- Reviewing, renewing and updating credit documents for Panda Africa
- Manage the credit team to ensure smooth execution of duties
- Ensure daily activities of the portfolio are accomplished effectively
- Predict risks by creating credit scoring models.
- Monitor all payments to ensure transparency and accountability are upheld
- Hold meetings with stakeholders
- Assess the creditworthiness of potential clients and conduct periodic reviews of existing clients
Qualifications and Experience
- Grade 12 certificate
- BSc Degree in Banking, finance, Business Administration
- 5 to 10 years proven work experience preferably in a financial institution.
- Knowledge in any loan system will be an added an advantage
- Excellent knowledge in Microsoft Office packages.
- Excellent knowledge in lending principles
- Basic knowledge in legal lending Acts
- Good credit management skills
- Sober minded
- Attention to detail
- Great sense of urgency
- Ability to work under pressure and ability to embrace change.
- High level of integrity and confidentiality.
