Roles & Responsibilities
The position is an entry-level sales & marketing position responsible for supporting the implementation of sales & marketing activities, events and achieving results for clients. The responsibilities include conducting research, writing, maintaining and tracking account information, and compiling reports. To be based in the Lusaka Kalundu area.
The position requires the candidate to:
Be working towards a Diploma/Degree in Tourism Marketing, Communications, PR, Journalism, Marketing, Advertising and Business;
Be well versed in MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Internet research experience;
Have an interest in Tourism, sales / marketing and events management.
The position requires the intern to:
Maintain clients lists for sales teams, ensuring that they are up to date and contain accurate and relevant information based on research, interviews, etc.
Track sales/marketing opportunities for sales/marketing team’s clients including editorial calendars, events and awards programs.
To grow and assist in managing social media pages that is Facebook and Instagram
To assist in visiting players in the tourism industry by building a strong network.
To liaise with the team for logistics and operational requirements.
To work closely with event vendors and keep tab on timelines for clear and timely delivery of all materials and services required for all events.
Be proficient in all areas of writing including monthly and weekly reports, email communication, letters, sales kits, newsletters etc.
Manage time efficiently in relation to campaigns, prioritizes tasks and manages the achievement of performance objectives
To follow up with any client and vendor related matters, e.g. getting materials from clients for press release and event website, films for directory advertising, forms for exhibitor manual etc. and other work or tasks as from time to time may be decided by us.
Be of a helping hand to the editorial team as and when required.
