Sales Team Lead (New Vehicle Sales) Brilliance Executive Management Consultancy

Job Purpose
The Sales Team Lead will oversee all Company sales policies, objectives and initiatives. Work closely with the HOD to set short- and long-term sales strategies and evaluate effectiveness of current sales programs. Recommend new cars sales plans through systematic approach to the market, sales process and daily management of the sales team, through meetings, controls, reports and support. Manage through lifecycle process own customers, providing them with utmost customer service ensuring highest level of customer satisfaction and profit for the company.

Summary of Key Responsibilities:

  • Determine annual unit and gross-profit plans by implementing sales strategies; analyzing trends and results
  • Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for regions and territories; projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products
  • Achieve growth and hit sales targets by successfully managing the sales team
  • Design and implement a strategic business plan that expands company’s customer base and ensure its strong presence
  • Establish and maintain personal contact / relationship with potential buyers by following up leads so as to conclude maximum sales deal
  • Work with the HR Department on Sales Consultants recruiting, Sales Department objectives setting, coaching and performance monitoring of Sales Consultants
  • Implement national sales programs by developing field sales action plans.
  • Maintain sales volume, product mix and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators and competitors.
  • Develop Vehicles Brand sales products including financing and servicing contracts.
  • Ensure that sales department’s target is consistently achieved and exceed expectations.
  • Plan to ensure achievement of divisional and personal target, aligning with company sales policies and strategies
  • Manage, develop, coach, control and motivate the sales force to develop their skill to ensure that a high professional standard is achieved and monthly sales target and KPI target are met.
  • Monitor traffic on website (incoming quotation and test drive inquiries) and other digital media and redirect to sales team accordingly.
  • Periodically organize events for customers in liaison with Marketing team.
  • Ensure targets are delivered through people management, performance review, reward and individual recognition
  • Assess the strengths and weaknesses of the sales team and manage the sales program accordingly
  • Provide on-the-ground support for Sales Consultant as they generate leads and close new deals
  • Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs
  • Present sales, revenue and expenses reports and realistic forecasts to the management team
  • Meet with customers to discuss their evolving needs and to assess the quality of our company’s relationship with them
  • Develop and implement new sales initiatives, strategies and programs to capture key demographics
  • Prepare and review the annual budget for the area of responsibility
  • Hold daily meeting with Sales Consultants to review current status and following daily and week’s plans, control sales consultant schedule and share with receptionist.
  • Analyze regional Vehicle market trends and discover new opportunities for growth

Primary Areas of Accountability:

Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree in Sales and/or Marketing or any Business/Commercial qualification
  • Must have at least 5-7 years’ Sales and Marketing experience in the automobile industry
  • Should have a minimum of at least 3 years’ experience with big fleet customers
  • Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and
    devising digital campaigns that engage, inform and motivate
  • Ability to lead and motivate a high performance sales team
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, budgeting software, asset
    management software, Web/Internet/e-mail technologies and general
    computing technology.
  • Must have a clean and valid driver’s licence
  • Must be a member of ZIM with a VALID Practicing Licence.
