JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Back Office Unit Head. This individual is responsible for the performance and efficient daily operations of the KYC operations unit in the department.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
- Perform mandatory checks to process all documents pertaining to new and existing accounts
- Open SAYE Accounts, High-net client accounts and corporate accounts
- Edit and close bank accounts
- Scanning and uploading client photos and signatures
- Raise and action exceptions for various client requests (i.e. Mandate change, account closure, name and signature edits) from all Bayport branches
- Record all exceptions raised
- Batching all processed application documentation.
- File account opening application documentation for all opened accounts
- File all documentation pertaining to clients’ accounts i.e. Term Deposit documentation, Exceptions etc. onto their respective files.
- Follow up on any pending KYC issues to do with accounts, exceptions, unfiled TDs and client files
- Retrieve and return files when the need arises
- Offer in-house support to the SAYE sales team providing them with client account information with regard to client account numbers, balance inquiries and account status
- Respond to, clarify and follow up on client queries, concerns and directives from sales and operations from the branches
- Ensure that all processes and administration are actioned according to Bayport policies
- Ensure effective management of all costs within your control
- Ensure compliance with BOZ and FIC
MINIMUM ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
- Grade 12 Certificate and/or equivalent (with Mathematics)
- Degree in Business or equivalent from a recognised university.
- 2 – 3 years experience
OTHER SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES
- Financial industry knowledge and working experience.
- Knowledge of clearing rules and operation of the internal clearing system.
- Computer literate.
- Good communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with staff.
