Bantu Recruitment Agency is looking to fill up the following positions for their client.

1. ARTISAN MECHANIC – HEAVY EQUIPMENT REPAIR (HER)

Job Responsibilities:

The specific tasks to be performed by the position holder will include;

3Diagnosing mechanical and electrical problems with and without using provided Electronic Scanners/Diagnostic tools.
Repairing and servicing all heavy equipment products within the established standards.
Completing preventive maintenance such as, engine tune-ups, oil changes, and replacing filters.
Lubricating equipment in accordance with established procedures and charts.
Keeping equipment available for use by inspecting and testing vehicles.
Maintaining vehicle functional condition by listening to operator complaints.
Completing work order closure sheets
Replacing parts and components.
Maintaining vehicle records by recording service and repairs.
Checking fan belts, hoses, wiper blades, radiators and batteries, and other safety equipment
Verifying vehicle serviceability by conducting test drives.
Maintaining excellent customer relations through frequent communication.
Preparing accurate service and repair reports in a timely manner.
Complying with state vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustion control standards.
Be actively involved in daily house-keeping
Any Other Duties, as per instruction from Direct Line Supervisor.

Qualifications and Experience required:

The job will require knowledge, skills and experience in the following areas:

Full Grade Twelve 12 School certificate.
Craft Certificate from recognised institution.
A member of the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ).
Valid Driver’s licence.
A minimum of 3 years relevant experience as a qualified Artisan HER.
