The Judiciary is an arm of Government established under Part VIII of the Constitution (Amendment) No. 2 of 2016. Its mission is “To administer justice to all in an independent, impartial, competent and timely manner”. In order to improve service delivery, The Judiciary is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the following vacancies.

Stores Officer: JSS 08 Salary Scale X 8 Positions (Annual Basie Salary of K59, 133.24), to be based in Lusaka, Chipata, Chinsali, and Mansa

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful candidate will be required to report to the Senior Accountant and will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Supervising and undertaking accurately the receipt, verification and recording of delivered goods in order to facilitate accountability and storage;
  • Supervising and undertaking timely storage of goods in order to safeguard them;
  • Supervising and undertaking effectively the retrieval and issuance of stored goods in order to make them available to end users,
  • Supervising and undertaking effectively the Maintenance of an up-to-date Stock record in order to facilitate decision making and
  • Supervising and undertaking regularly identification of obsolete, redundant, scrap and surplus goods in order to facilitate their disposal.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum Primary/Secondary Education
  • Full Form V/Grade 12 School Certificate with at least 5 O’levels
  • Minimum Vocational/Professional Qualifications
  • Diploma in Purchasing and supplies or equivalent
  • Minimum Relevant Pre-Job Experience
  • 1 year experience

  • Written Skills
  • Ability to write reports
  • Oral Skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
