Relationship Managers (Commercial Bank) x10 Brilliance Executive Management Consultancy

Job Purpose
The Relationship Manager will be responsible for building strong relationships with customers and business clients in the assigned town or region. Taking the lead in seeking out new business opportunities, advising clients on product/service solutions that meet their needs, and resolving any issues or complaints. Providing clients with knowledgeable advice, guiding their choices, promptly resolving complaints, and ensuring client satisfaction. Ensure compliance to Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti Money laundering (AML) requirements in all dealings with existing and potential customers in the assigned town

Summary of Key Responsibilities:

  • Cultivate good rapport with corporate clients and ensure, the bank becomes the choice for their Investment and banking.
  • Working with clients to help them make the right decisions with their accounts and explain the financial services on offer to them
  • Cross-sell Trade, Treasury and Transaction services products and refer potential clients of the Bank for Commercial, agriculture and Retail.
  • Identify and develop a target pipeline and aggressively market for new profitable status customers from the identified target sectors
  • Identify possible sales opportunities and generate new business for the Bank in the assigned region.
  • Gathering information that is needed to prepare and assess credit applications in order to manage customer expectations.
  • Manage the development of prudently priced assets, and cost-effective long-term liability with reputable companies and organizations in order to ensure Bank’s maximum profitability.
  • Establish quality profit-earning customer relationships within the target market
  • Researching the latest products and regulations
  • Maintaining a deep knowledge of the Bank’s products and services.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with prospective and existing clients.
  • Researching and pursuing new business opportunities.
  • Manage key customer relationships through regular contacts and visits by ensuring the effective call program is maintained on all assigned and prospective customers.
  • Maintain a high standard of operational control including adherence to Risk Management and Compliance guidelines.
  • Identifying areas of improvement with internal processes in place.
  • Report to Management/ Board the status of Business leads, customer complaints, and pending issues in respect of the clients.
  • Identifying clients’ needs and requirements and proposing suitable solutions.
  • Providing clients with comprehensive product/service consultations and guiding their decision-making process.
  • Upselling and cross-selling products/services to clients
  • Resolving complaints and issues efficiently and in a timely manner.
  • Maintain high professional standards and strive to provide quality services and competitive pricing to clients
  • Continuously identify and exploit cross-selling opportunities that embed the bank and its products with customer needs

Primary Areas of Accountability:

Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree in Management, Marketing, Business Administration, Communication, Or a Similar Field.
  • Must have at Least a Minimum of 5-8 Years of Work Experience as a Relationship Manager
  • Possess an In-Depth Understanding and Knowledge of Corporate Banking Products
  • Proven Sales Experience in A Client Relationship Role Within Corporate Banking
  • Ability to Build and Maintain Strong Client and Business Relationships.
  • Must be Customer-Oriented
  • Experience in structured trade finance, syndication and project financing will be an added advantage
  • Must have an interest in financial products and markets
