Job Purpose:

Key Skills:

Excellent networking and relationship management skills and the ability to use these to develop new business opportunities and relationships.
Strong organization and project management skills, ability to effectively manage projects and tasks end to end, in a prompt manner.
Demonstrated proficiency in Stata, and experience with data management, and data cleaning
Excellent working knowledge of SPSS, NVIO, Excel and other relevant data collection and analysis softwares
Strong verbal, virtual, and written communication skills, ability to write reports and proposals across various sectors.
Strategic and analytical thinking, able to make key decisions and solve problems.
Articulate and attention to detail.
Self-starter able to work with own initiative, be proactive, and meet tight deadlines.
Good IT skills (Microsoft/Google suites, CRM solutions)

Responsibilities

1. Review and analyze developments in the sector to inform decisions
2. Prepare analytical reports on developments with the view to understanding their impact on projects and programme
3. Plan, design, undertake regular surveys, KII and focus group discussion including in a rural setting and also market based research
4. Developing a common framework and research questions for context-specific and comparative analysis of innovation and scaling strategies and support systems.
5. Provide support to Managers/ Officers in the expansion and deepening of relationships for the firm.
6. Refining and piloting survey questionnaires Supervising and monitoring data collection to ensure high-quality of the data Running data quality checks and fixing issues with data collected during data collection Assisting in data cleaning and preliminary analysis and ensuring ready access to all data for researchers and/or supervisors
7. Documenting in detail all activities related to the project
8. Maintaining accurate records of interviews, safeguarding the confidentiality of subjects, as necessary
9. Preparing high-quality progress and results reports to MarcTina’s clients, research partners, and funding agencies, and sharing them timely
10. Providing timely updates and responses to partner organizations, and participating in meetings with key stakeholders

1. Setting Standards for Programme performance planning and monitoring
2. Support to implementation of programmes and projects undertaken by the firm
3. Dissemination and follow up of evaluations
4. Networking and partnership building
5. Innovation, knowledge management and capacity building

Education Requirements

  • A University Degree in research,project management,  economics, statistical degrees, or other social science fields is required.
  • Masters’ degree or Professional Qualification in relevant discipline is an added advantage

Job Experience

  • A minimum of 3  years’ relevant experience conducting qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis, including experience in writing concept notes and  proposal writing
  • A minimum of 3 years experience working in social development analysis and programming an international organisation or donor funded project is required. Relevant experience in program/project monitoring and evaluation in a UN/USAID/SIDA  system agency or organisation is an asset.
  • Experience working within the NGO sector is a major advantage.
  • Experience working within a consultancy environment will be advantageous.
