Motor Vehicle Valuations Quality Control Officer x1

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Valuations Quality Control Officer to ensure the accuracy and quality of reports prepared by Motor Vehicle Valuers & Assessors. In this role, you will be responsible for counterchecking and validating valuations of motor vehicles submitted as collateral for our product. Your attention to detail and thorough analysis will contribute to maintaining the integrity of our lending processes and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive reviews of motor vehicle valuation reports prepared by Motor Vehicle Valuers & Assessors.
  • Verify the accuracy and completeness of the information provided in the valuation reports, including vehicle details, market conditions, and pricing.
  • Cross-reference valuation data against industry standards, market trends, and internal guidelines to ensure consistency and reliability.
  • Identify and investigate any discrepancies or inconsistencies in valuation reports, collaborating with Valuers & Assessors to address and rectify issues.
  • Provide constructive feedback and guidance to Valuers & Assessors to improve the quality and accuracy of their reports.
  • Maintain detailed records of quality control activities, including observations, findings, and recommendations for process improvement.
  • Collaborate with the Risk Management team to assess the overall risk associated with motor vehicle valuations and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, market conditions, and valuation methodologies to enhance the quality control process.
  • Participate in training programs or workshops to enhance knowledge and skills related to motor vehicle valuations and assessment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Business, Finance, or Economics.
  • Proven experience in valuations, preferably with a focus on motor vehicles.
  • Strong understanding of motor vehicle valuation methodologies, market conditions, and industry standards.
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in conducting research and analysis of market trends and vehicle pricing.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide constructive feedback and collaborate effectively.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in using valuation tools, software, and MS Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and risk management principles.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and business needs.
  • Must be located in or willing to relocate to Lusaka, Zambia.
