Description
Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a boat, ensuring that it is maintained to a high standard and that it operates in compliance with relevant laws. The assistant boat captain is also responsible for the supervision of the crew, developing crew schedules and providing training, as well as carrying out navigational and safety duties.
Assistant Boat Captain Duties
Navigate and pilot boats of all sizes
Ensure safety of passengers and crew
Maintain and repair vessels
Organise and supervise deck crew
Maintain logs and records
Adhere to maritime and environmental regulations
