VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

Administrative Officer

The Teaching Council of Zambia (TCZ) is a statutory body established by an Act of Parliament, Teaching Profession Act No. 5 of 2013. The mandate of the TCZ is to provide for the regulation of teachers, their practice and professional conduct. The institution has one (1) vacancy for Administrative Officer (TC 06) and is now inviting applications from suitably qualified Zambians to apply for the position. Qualified staff within Teaching Council of Zambia are encouraged to apply.

 

 

JOB PURPOSE

To supervise and undertake the provision of administrative and logistical support services in order to facilitate effective and efficient operations of the Institution.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

i. Office Superintendence: Supervises effectively the maintenance of buildings and surroundings in order to create a conducive working environment.
ii. Office Accommodation: Undertakes timely provision of office space and accommodation to officers in order to facilitate a conducive working environment.
iii. Office Equipment: Supervises regularly provision and maintenance of office equipment in order to facilitate service delivery.

iv. Transport Management: Supervises effectively the maintenance of transport system in order to enhance mobility of officers and equipment.
v. Records Management: Supervises effectively the provision of registry services in order to enhance accessibility to information.
vi. Supervision: Supervises effectively human and other resources in order to facilitate the attainment of set objectives.
vii. Performance Management: Supervise effectively the development of work plans and implementation of the performance management system in order to monitor.

REQUIREMENTS

(1) Applicants must be aged between 25-45 years;
(ii) A Full Grade Twelve (12)/Form 5 School Certificate with a minimum of five (5) ‘O’level credit or better including English Language and Mathematics:
(iii) Bachelors of Arts Degree in Public Administration or its equivalent
(vi) No minimum experience required
