Sales & Marketing Coordinator (Courier and Transport Industry) Brilliance Executive Management Consultancy

Job Purpose:
The Sales and Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for discovering and pursuing new courier and transport sales prospects/business, negotiating deals and maintaining customer satisfaction. Conduct market research to identify selling possibilities and evaluate customer needs. Prepare and deliver appropriate presentations on Bakery products and services.

 

 

Summary of Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide feedback on services to Marketing for future system modifications and enhancements.
  • Services existing accounts obtain orders and establishes new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedules to call on existing or potential sales outlets and other trade factors.
  • Adjusts the content of sales presentations by studying the type of sales outlet or trade factor.
  • Focuses sales efforts by studying existing and potential volumes of dealers.
  • Submits orders by referring to price lists and product literature.
  • Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses.
  • Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.
  • Recommends changes in products, services, and policies by evaluating results and competitive developments.
  • Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports; making recommendations to management.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Provides historical records by maintaining records on area and customer sales.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Primary Areas of Accountability:

Qualifications and Experience

  • Diploma in Sales and Marketing, Business Administration, Transport or any business field.
  • Degree in any of the above fields will be a plus
  • Must have at least 4-6 years of Sales and Marketing in the Courier and freight forwarding industry.
  • Must have proven experience in the operations of Courier and Logistics Services
  • Must be sales and result oriented
  • Must have good negotiating skills
  • Must be a member of ZIM
