About the position:
The position will be responsible for building excellent customer relationships and implementing sustainable profitable growth activities. Location of the position could be anywhere in the Central & East Africa region. Preferred locations would be: Kenya (Nairobi), Tanzania (Dar es Salaam), Zambia (Lusaka), Democratic Republic of Congo (Lubumbashi)
Key responsibilities
- Identify the right distribution partners who can invest in the brand (Channel Sales) and work closely with existing distributors to focus on end user channels (Mining & Mineral Processing, Vehicle Aftermarket, Agri, Food and Beverages, Industrial Sales)
- Have a strong sense of Key Account Management and Growth
- Develop and execute sales strategies & plans, forecasts, opportunity identification for SKF products and services
- Acquire holistic understanding of customers’ needs and map customer organization at all levels to get desired insights
- Drive account management process/tools to achieve annual growth & margin targets
- Serve as a primary business contact for the customer and ensure high customer satisfaction
- Nurture strategic relationships with key customers to become long term trusted partner to the customer
- Drive all stages of value-based projects, namely:
- Territory management & Account planning (customer identification and selection)
- Discover leads (Insights, customer engagement)
- Develop needs & opportunities (customer assessment, quantify value)
- Develop performance offer
Knowledge and experience required
- At least a Bachelor of Science degree (BSc) in Engineering or Business Management from a four-year college or university, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Commercial business experience with min. 5 years track record in Sales function, preferably in manufacturing or engineering industries
- Strong Customer obsession, hunger to grow business with a founder’s mentality.
